Balboa Park's long tradition of free weekend music continues this August, with a rotating lineup of performances scheduled across the park's outdoor venues.
Sunday afternoon organ recitals at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion anchor the schedule, joined this month by community brass bands, folk ensembles and student groups performing along the Prado.
Park visitors can catch most performances between late morning and early evening on Saturdays and Sundays. All outdoor performances are free and open to the public, and no tickets are required.
Cultural institutions in the park are also extending weekend hours through the end of the month, making it easy to pair an afternoon of music with a museum visit.
